Thinking ahead with regard to HMS Cleopatra Old Shipmates Association AGM and reunion in May 2019 (not 2018), The Tillington Hotel at Stafford was voted in by Cleo members at the previous AGM at Plymouth in 2017. However, cutting a long story short, the Tillington Hotel will not now be the venue for the 2019 AGM and reunion. Also a coach trip to the National Arboretum on the Saturday is planned as promised. The Novatel Hotel at Long Eaton, Nottingham for the 2nd weekend in May 2019 will now be the venue. The venue is still in the Midlands, close to the airport, railway station and M1 for travellers and has an excellent record of hosting Armed Forces reunions. Any comments on the change of venue would be appreciated. With regard to the forthcoming AGM and reunion at Harrogate, everything is going ahead as planned and we have 75 members and guests attending. The menu list will be sent to those attending within the next couple of weeks. Any questions regarding the up and coming Cleo reunion at the Cairn Hotel, Harrogate just let me know. Warwick Franklin, Honorary Secretary, HMS Cleopatra Old Shipmates Association. I can be contacted on 01752 366611 or e-mail: warwick_franklin@hptmail.com
